The Morgan County Chamber’s Women in Business program, “Dirt Road Entrepreneurs,” is a celebration and support network for the women who are building businesses, creating opportunities, and making things happen right here in rural Morgan County.

You don't have to have a corner office to be an entrepreneur. Sometimes you just need a dirt road, a good idea, and the guts to go for it.  Dirt Road Entrepreneurs recognizes the women who are doing exactly that.

This is for the woman running a storefront, working from her kitchen table, raising a family while building a business, farming, creating a product, providing a service, or turning a crazy idea into something real.

Dirt Road Entrepreneurs is about:

• Connection — women doing business in Morgan County getting to know and support one another.

• Education — practical conversations about money, marketing, customers, technology, leadership and growing a business.

• Mentorship — learning from women who have already been down the road.

• Visibility — putting a spotlight on women-owned businesses and the stories behind them.

• Collaboration — creating opportunities to buy local, partner locally and refer business to one another.

• Encouragement — because entrepreneurship can be lonely, especially in a rural community.
